The GreenTeach project focuses on environmental sustainability and combating climate change, aiming to promote a “green” and sustainable educational offering in vocational training institutions by enhancing the skills of educators in the sector according to the European framework. This initiative seeks to prepare inclusive green learning scenarios based on modern technologies and innovative pedagogy. The goal is to bridge the gap in “green” skills for a sustainable future and the need for a greener planet.
Implementation
- Analyze the current status of the “green” and sustainable educational offerings in vocational training institutions and identify skill gaps among teachers, particularly in vocational education and training (VET).
- Develop a valid skills framework for education in the green economy sector.
- Design training curricula to address the identified skill gaps and create an online course along with open educational resources (OER).
- Create an e-learning platform for delivering the developed “GreenTeach” course.
- Conduct a pilot phase (e-learning platform and online course “GreenTeach”) with VET educators.
- Develop an online catalogue of courses based on GreenTeach.
- Gather best practices implemented during the pilot phase.
