As part of the ICT-INOV project (code 618768-EPP-1-2020-1-EL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP), a training event for trainers and educators was organized in Porto, Portugal, from 31 January to 4 February 2022.
The event focused on teaching the principles and practices of
design thinking, and participants engaged in five phases: team-building activities, problem identification, empathy, ideation and prototyping. Offline and online tools were used, including the ICT-INOV digital collaborative platform.
The topic covered was
Green IT. Therefore, the participants, divided into small groups, addressed aspects such as recycling, reuse and reducing energy consumption. The results were documented, and several solutions were suggested and graphically represented with the posters. All the material is available on the ICT-INOV platform.
The participants came from different international universities and research centres, intending to transfer the knowledge gained into their organizations to support innovation.
Future training activities will include educators and trainers from other institutions to strengthen the impact further.
