In the framework of European initiative
STEM Discovery Campaign 2020, EU-Track organized the webinar “
Coding and thinking design for building skills in computer science”. The webinar took place on April, 16th at 15.00 (GMT+1) and it was hosted by Scientix.
This event was addressed to headmasters, teachers and experts who wish to discover how to encourage, mainly girls, on developing thinking design skills and starting computer science careers.
It was an opportunity to learn about the tools and methodology developed by the
Coding4Girls project team and to know how experts, teachers and students could participate in the validation phase.
The project aims at:
- Overcoming the gap between male and female participation in computer science education and careers by introducing innovative methodological learning interventions.
- Attracting young people by raising awareness of computer science careers.
- Introducing a design thinking pedagogical approach linked to a human-centered solution
During the event, Prof. Maria Cristiana Bevilacqua, eTwinning Ambassador and member of the Training Equipe - PNSD Lazio, introduced the speech "
Coding as Cross-curricular competence".
